Deep River, meanwhile, isn't working for me – the indent works to a certain depth and then all of the explicit joins are suddenly not nested any further.Ĭan anyone recommend a formatting tool/app/whatever (no, I don't have a budget for this) which will produce formatted SQL and not choke on DB2 syntax? (or maybe I should use Deep River and then work from there?) I have Data Studio 4.1.3 installed but can't currently get Visual Explain to open (separate problem), so even if DS indents text, I can't use it. It's well past the point where I can easily visualize the structures, and I've just spent an hour formatting the first about 25% of it by hand (nesting and line breaks). I'm working with a generated SQL query (COGNOS).
